The Marcel Victory Day Karate Competition concluded at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday.
Six events of the karate meet were held on the concluding day.
Child (Girls’) (10 to 12 years) Open Kumi Category: Buno Brishti of Gyujokai Karate Club bagged gold medal.
Men’s Cadet (14 to 16 years) Open Category: Georges Anwar of BKSP collected gold medal.
Junior Women’s (16 to 18 years) Under-40 kg Kumi Category: Eti Biswas of Bangladesh Young King Karate Club gained gold medal.
Junior Men’s (16 to 18 years) Open Category: Sujon Chandra Das of Rocky Karate Academy earned gold medal.
Senior Women’s Under-45 kg Kumi Category: Tanjina Akhter of Khagrachhari Sitoryu Karate Club bagged gold medal.
Senior Women’s Under-50 kg Kumi Category: Sumitra Murmu of Bangladesh Young Karate Club gained gold medal.
After the competition Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
President of Bangladesh Karate Federation and former director general of RAB Md Mokhlesur Rahman presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
