Marcel sees boom in fridge sales on the eve of Eid

The local electronics manufacturer ‘Marcel’ has experienced a boom in the sales of its fridges across the country as a large number of people are thronging the local brands on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr to buy fridges at reasonable prices, says a media release.
Sales representatives of Marcel said, sales of their fridges have been almost doubled in this Ramadan compared to the previous Ramadan’s sales. Centering the Eid-ul-Fitr, the local brand marketed total of 66 models of fridges with lucrative designs, of which 52 models are of frost refrigerators, 2 models of non-frost and 12 models of freezers. They have brought diversity in the designs and colours of their fridges, they said.
The reasons of gaining huge customers’ faith on Marcel fridges are included: world-class quality, varieties designs and colours, reasonable prices, one-year replacement guaranty and 10-year guaranty on inverter compressors he added.
Customers of Marcel fridges are also offered free fridge, television and air-conditioner or a tour to America or Russia or maximum Tk 1000 cash discount on the registration of their purchased fridges under the ongoing nationwide ‘Digital Campaign.’
Dr Md. Shakhawat Hossen said, they set a target of selling out 30,000 units of fridges during this Ramadan whereas they sold 15,000 units of fridges in the previous year’s Ramadan.
The current month sales are also satisfactory, saying it he added that the number of customers at Walton outlets are increasing everyday on the eve of Eid.
“If the present sales trend is sustained, sale of Marcel fridges will cross the target at the end of Eid,” he hoped.  
Marcel officials said, the demands for fridges were slightly gone up centering both the Ramadan and the sweltering summer heat.
