The Marcel Cup Bodybuilding Competition starts today at the Auditorium of National Sports Council Tower.
Marking the ensuing competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. Senior Additional Director of Walton Group and Vice-President of Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, AGM of Walton Group Mehrab Hossain Asif and General Secretary of Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation Nazrul Islam were present at the conference.
Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation will arrange the competition under auspices of Walton Group.
The competition will be held in six weight categories. They are: 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, and Above 80 kg.
The first position achiever of each weight category will be awarded Tk ten thousand, medal, crest and certificate.
The best bodybuilder will get Tk sixty thousand.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel will inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
The competition will come to an end on July 31.
