Marcel, one of the leading electronics appliances manufacturer in Bangladesh, has brought new models of different sorts of home appliances like rice cooker, iron, electric kettle, induction cooker and room heater, which have huge demand especially in the winter season, says a press release.
The Marcel officials said, they sold out about 30 percent higher amount of home appliances in the period of November’15 to January’16 against the sales of the corresponding period of 2014. This year, they targeted to bag 50 percent higher sales against the last season’s (winter) sales. To meet the target, several initiatives like increasing stocks, introducing new appliances and reshaping marketing strategies have been taken.
The local brand marketed wide range of home appliances on the occasion of the imminent winter season. The appliances are 10 models of rice cooker; 5 models of blender; 4 models of iron, 3 models of electric kettle and room heater, and one model of induction cooker.
Marketing executives of home and electrical appliances division of Marcel said, serious supply crunch of gas in the individual’s houses were appeared during the last couple of winter seasons. To cook the regular meals during the scarcity of gas supply in winter season, Marcel brought world-class power-efficient induction cooker. The monthly cost of cooking using Marcel induction cooker is lower than the half of the cost of cooking using LPG.
He noted that the local brand (Marcel) targeted 50 percent higher sales of home appliances in the upcoming winter compared to the last winter’s sales.
