UNB, Chittagong :
Police recovered the body of a man from the kitchen room of his house at Cikdair village in Raozan upazila on Thursday morning, 10 days after he was reportedly chopped to death by his wife over extra-marital relationship.
The deceased was identified as Dudu Miah, 38, son of Sultan Ahmed Tunu Miah, a resident of the village.
Police arrested his wife Shahnaz Begum, 35, in connection with the killing.
Police said Dudu had an altercation with his wife on October 6 (On the day of Eid-ul-Azha) over the issue and beat up her.
When Dudu fell asleep, Shahnaz chopped him to death with sharp weapon and concealed the body in the kitchen.
Locals after getting odorous smell coming from the house, informed police.
Later law enforcers recovered the body after digging it out from the floor of the kitchen and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
