Police recovered the body of a man from Pirujali village in Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Moniruzzaman, a construction contractor by profession and a resident of the village.
Sub-inspector Nazmul Hossain, in-charge of Hotapara police outpost, said locals spotted they body lying in a jungle, one kilometer away from his house, in the morning and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue.
Moniruzzama might have been strangulated to death over his business related enmity, added the SI.
