Manpower trafficking to Malaysia controlled by BD expatriates

Chittagong Bureau :Masterminds of manpower trafficking to Malaysia is being directly controlled from Malaysia by the Bangladeshi expatriates residing there. Due to expatriate’s control over this illegal manpower trafficking , law enforcers could not ascertain the information about their agent or broker of this trafficking business. Law enforcers said fortune seekers of Mal aysia are being rounded up frequently either from Cox’sBazar or Chittagong but they could not detain the brokers or agent due to main control from Malaysia. Sources further said masterminds in Malaysia engaged different agents for collection of fortune seekers in rural areas of the country. Asstt. Commissioner of Police of Kotwali zone of CMP Shah Md. Abdur Rouf told this correspondent that he launched extensive enquiry over the illegal manpower trafficking to Malaysia and came to know that an expatriate syndicate is controlling the manpower trafficking, as such law enforcers could not detect any broker or agent.He further said Bangladeshi expatriates in Malaysia involved with the manpower trafficking engaged a number of brokers or agents across the country specifically in remote rural areas.He further said the trafficking gang frequently change the route of trafficking.Now the gang changed route from Teknaf , Cox’sBazar and selected Kutubia,Moheskhali and now in Chittagong. Sources the agents bring the fortune seekers in Chittagong first and then sent to Cox’sBazar as tourists . Police sources said lack of broker or agent of this trafficking , no specific case yet to lodged with the law enforcing agents. He said separate case were lodged with the Panchalaish, Chandgaon and Bakalia thana in city but no positive results came from these cases. Last of all 39 fortune seekers were rounded up by Bakalia thana police on Thursday last but no proper case yet to be lodged , sources said.
