The government on Tuesday appointed M Abdul Mannan Howlader, Secretary to the Government and currently on deputation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the next High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mauritius.
In his career, he left marks of an efficient public servant in different governmental organizations he had worked in, said a Foreign Ministry media release.
Howlader served as the Member, Planning Commission; Secretary, Ministry of Shipping; Chairman, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA); DG, Compulsory & Mass Education; Member, Bangladesh Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (BCSIR);
Deputy Commissioner of Laxmipur District and also as Deputy Secretary in Economic Relations Division and the Ministry of Water Resources.
He visited USA, UK, Japan, India, South Korea, Russia, China, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand for official purposes.
