Different political and socio-cultural organisations will observe the 48th death anniversary of the legendary journalist and founder-editor of the Daily Ittefaq Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia in a befitting manner today (Thursday).
The New Nation, Weekly Robbar and Manik Mia Foundation will organize Milad and Doa mahfil at Ittefaq Bhaban, 1 R.K. Mission Road, Dhaka at 3:30pm.
Quran telwat and Doa will also be held at The Daily Ittefaq office at Kajlar Par, Dhaka.
Besides, a discussion meeting on Manik Mia’s eventful life will also be held on Friday (tomorrow) at Engineers Institutions in the city at 4 pm organized by Jatiya Party (Manju) where Industry Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon and Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud are scheduled to participate in the discussion, among others.
