Mango buds have blossomed at a good number of mango trees in different areas of the district earlier than the expected time and before the advent of summer in comparison with previous years’.
Nirmalendu Tripura, a sexagenarian ethnic leader, said the buds, which have already blossomed, have made the surrounding air aromatic.
The buds have attained 25 per cent maturity by now, the elderly man added. On the other hand, garden and tree owners were found busy nurturing the blossomed trees by spraying medicine to protect the buzzing buds.
