Mangal Shobhajatra brought out in capital

_{The students and teachers of IFA (Institute of Fine Arts) and other departments took out the Mangal Shobhajatra, a carnival marking the Pahela Baishakh, on Monday morning.}

Besides students and teachers, thousands of people from all walks of life joined the procession with masks and huge papier-mâché creatures.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof. AAMS Afrefin Siddique led the procession that started at 9.20am. Later, the procession went round different city streets.

 Mangal Shobhajatra is being brought out since 1989.
