Management Week begins at JU

The week-long fourth Management Week has begun yesterday (Wednesday) on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus organised by Management Studies Department, Md Rubel, Lecturer of the Department disclosed this at a press conference at JU Journalists’ Association (JUJA).
JU Vice Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam inaugurated the programme as the Chief Guest while JU Pro-VC Prof Abul Hossain, Treasurer Abul Khaer attended as special guests.
Md Rubel said, “We have organized this event for the fourth time. Our aim is to stimulate the students to make prepared for the competition in the job sector.”
“Besides, students get a chance to show their skills in event management in such programme”, he added.
The events of the inaugural session include- procession, tree
plantation, book distribution among the poor children and Charity film
festival.
Second day (Jan 5) programmes include seminar on Campus to Corporate
with the participation of corporate personalities and charity film
festival.
Third-fourth day (Jan 6-7) programmes include university photography
exhibition, HR competition for the university students at the social
science faculty gallery, debate competition and charity film festival.
A total of 52 teams from 21 universities in the HR competition and 32
teams from 28 universities will participate in the debate competition.
The other events includes cricket and badminton tournament on the
fifth and sixth day and cultural session on the seventh day (Jan 10)
at the Selim Al Deen Muktamanch.

Among others, MD Alamin, convener of the event, also a master’s
student, Md Rimon, treasurer of the event, also a final year student
and journalists of different media attended the press conference
