A court on Tuesday sentenced a man to death for killing his wife and daughter in 2010.
The court also fined condemned convict Nazmul Hasan, 35, son of Nurul Amin Ashwinpur village in Matlab (South) upazila, Tk 5,000.
According to the prosecution, Nazmul killed his wife Hosneara, 24, and nine-month old daughter Naznin following a family feud on July 19, 2010 and dumped the two bodies.
Abul Kashem, father of Hosneara, filed a case in this connection. Police arrested Nazmul on July 24, 2010.
Police submitted a charge sheet accusing Nazmul on July 31, 2010.
After examining the records and witnesses, District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Saleh Uddin Ahmad handed down the verdict.
