A man suspected for stealing ‘Nasimon (locally assembled human hauler) ‘ lynched by local people at Barthi village under Gournadi unpazila of Barisal early Thursday.
The victim was identified as Nuru Matubbar, 55, son of Satya Matubbar of Kauarhut under Shibchar upazila and resident of Sangkardi under Rajoir upazila of Madaripur district.
Sub Inspector Hasanuzzaman of Gournadi police station recovering the dead body sent to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital and recovered one sharp weapon, one iron rod, one tool for removing motor parts, two liters diesel.
As complainant he also lodged a case without mentioning any name of the accused.
Abul Kalam, Gournadi police station officer in charge, said Panu Molla of Barthi village owned a Nasimon and on Wednesday night like other days de-touching wheels and some parts parked the vehicle in front of his house at the side of Barisal-Dhaka highway.
