A man was stabbed to death with sharp weapons by his cousin in the city’s Sutrapur area early in the morning.
The victims was identified as Sheikh Monir Hossain, 28, was a resident of Katherpool area, police said.
Quoting the victim’s family members, Abdul Awal, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Sutrapur Police Station said that Monir and his cousin Wahid Hossain locked in an altercation over a land dispute in front of Monir’s house around 2:00am. At one stage, Wahid swooped on Monir with a sharp weapon and stabbed him indiscriminately. Monir was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the on duty doctors declared him dead .
A case was filed in this connection.
The body was sent to the DMCH morgue for an autopsy.
