An elderly man named Hasan Ali, 60, was critically injured allegedly by his daughter-in-law at Chopdarpara in Jessore town at 11am on Tuesday.
Reba Begum, wife of the victim, said that her husband had been admitted to Jessore Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition. He was hit in the shoulder with a sharp weapon used to cut vegetables and other kitchen items over family feud at 11am on Tuesday.
Dr Mouri, Medical Officer, Jessore Medical College and Hospital stated the condition of the man as critical.
Sub-Inspector Mosaddek Hossain of Kotwali Police Station told the newsmen that local people handed Rikta Begum, alleged attacker, over to the police after the incident.
Admitting her involvement, Rikta Begum told a group of journalists that she stabbed her father-in-law failing to control her anger over a sudden feud.
