A man was shot dead during a clash between two groups of villagers over previous enmity at Asampur area in Chhatak upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Akber Hossain, 30. Bhatgaon Union Parishad chairman Awlad Hossain, said Alim Member and Saleh Ahmed groups had an long standing enmity.
Following this, both the feuding groups locked into clashes with arms at around 5am, leaving Akber Ahmed of Saleh group dead.
