Man sent to jail for making bad remarks against Prophet (PBUH)

The Cyber Tribunal Bangladesh yesterday (Wednesday) sent an accused to the jail rejecting his bail plea in a case filed against him for making derogatory remarks against Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) through face book in 2013.
Judge KM Shamsul Alam of Cyber Tribunal Bangladesh passed the order on Monday after hearing on the remand plea of accused Mihir Ranja Roy alias Prince Roy.
Advocate Nazrul Islam, Prosecution lawyer of the tribunal told newsmen that on October 5, 2013, the accused made several derogatory remarks against the Great Prophet through his face book and the case was lodged against him under the Cyber Crime Act.
Earlier, the accused secured bail in the case from the District and Sessions Judge’s Court of Sunamganj. But the Cyber Tribunal Bangladesh rejected his bail after he surrendered to the tribunal with the bail plea on Wednesday.
