Man murdered in broad daylight

A twenty-four-year old man was murdered in broad daylight in Bogura’s Kahaloo upazila on Friday.
Deceased, Abdul Alim was a second-hand motorcycle trader from Jamgram village in the upazila, reports our Bogura correspondent quoting Zia Latiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Kahaloo Police Station.
A suspect-Md Nowfel-was detained in this
connection, police said.
Three to four unidentified criminals attacked Alim near Panai bridge around 1:00pm with a sharp weapon and stabbed him in his chest and neck, leaving him dead on the spot.
The incident took place when he was returning from Durgapur Bazaar, the police official said.
Acting on information, police rushed to the spot and detained Nowfel after chasing him from the spot.
According to Nowfel, there was a previous feud among Abdul Alim’s friends over his motorcycle business. Police are trying to arrest other culprits.
The body was sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
