One person died and two were burnt after the janani courier service outlet transformer blast in South Keraniganj on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Babu (32).
The injured Mostafizur (40) and Rentu (20) were admitted to Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital for better treatment.
At around 11:30pm, a transformer inside a shop in Najirabad area exploded causing a fire to break out, said Sub Inspector Mohidul. He, however, could not provide any details.
DMCH police camp’s Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia told that Rentu suffered 17 percent burns while Mostafiz two percent.
