A man was killed as he was run over by a bus in the city’s Bangshal area on Sunday. The victim was identified as Shahidullah, 50, a resident of 42/1 West Senpara Parbata in Mirpur.
Police, quoting witnesses, said Shahidullah was crossing the road at Tanti Bazar intersection around 1:30 pm when the bus crashed into him, leaving him injured badly.
A team of Bangshal Police Station, led by its assistant sub-inspector Sujon Kumar Saha, took the victim to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he was pronounced dead around 2pm. The body has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
