Man killed in city road crash

Yasin Ali, 51, who lost nine members of his family, including wife, during a clash between the stranded Pakistanis, on the one hand, and the Awami League activists and the Police, on the other hand, in June, was killed in a road accident in they city’s Pallabi area on Saturday, police said. They were burnt to death in a locked room.
Quoting the victim’s relatives, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost In-charge Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter and
said that Yasin was going to a pharmacy near the Purabi Cinema Hall at Pallabi around 10:00am for purchasing medicines for his lone survivar daughter Farjana Akhter, a burnt victim. Just then, a speedy bus coming from the opposite direction hit him, leaving critically injured. The DMCH doctors declared him dead on arrival at about 2:20pm.
He added that Yasin was living at Kurmitola Stranded Pakistani Camp in Mirpur-12 with his daughter Farzana, suffering from burnt injury since the Mirpur’s Kalshi Tragedy.
Earlier on June 14, 2014, nine of Yasin’s family members were burnt to death at Kalshi under Pallabi Police Station on the occasion of observing the holy Shab-e-Barat. Now there is none to take care of unfortunate Farzana.
