Madhu Bagchi (32), son of one Mukunda Bagchi of village Hosla under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district is allegedly killed by his wife’s boyfriend at Saturday night, according to a report received here.
It is learnt from the victim’s family-members and the locals that at the night ill-fated Madhu Bagchi returned home from the outside. Just after his return to the house the alleged killers called him out of his house over a mobile phone call and as soon as he went there the miscreants stabbed him repeatedly with sharp knives and threw him into an adjacent paddy field. Then the injured person groaned out loudly. On hearing the groaning his wife Tripti Bagchi rushed to the spot, recovered her seriously injured husband and rushed him to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex where the physicians on duty declared him dead. On information Kahirul Anam Officer-in-charge Fakirhat Model PS accompanied with some other police officers rushed to the Hospital.
The Office-in-charge told the newsmen; Madhu Bagchi was stabbed to death by the miscreants. The Officer-in-charge added with reference of Tripti Bagchi that a man of the adjacent village used to place before her ill proposal very often. But she rejected the ill propose flatly and, perhaps, out of this her husband was killed by the man and his associates.
But some locals who are not willing to disclose their names told that, one person of the adjacent Satbaria village used to go to the house of Madhu Bagchi very often and many occasions she (Tripti Bagchi) was found with the man. As a result, perhaps, an illicit relation was developed between the two. So, the man took the deceased Madhu Bagchi an obstacle and that is why the man, perhaps, killed the husband tactfully.
In this connection a murder case was already lodged with Fakirhat PS.
