A septuagenarian man was killed allegedly by his son-in-law over family feud at Laxmikhola village in Kalaroa upazila on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Kashem Ali, 75, of the village.
Quoting family, police said Reshma Khatun went to her father Kashem Ali’s house following a brawl with her husband Abdul Jalil few days before Eid.
On Monday, Jalil came to his father-in-law’s house to take his wife where he had an altercation with Kashem Ali, said MerinaAkter, assistant superintendent of Satkhira (sadar circle) police.
At one stage, a scuffle took place between them when Kashem fell down being hit by Jalil and died on the spot.
On information, police went to the spot and arrested Abdul Jalil.
