A man was killed by his rival at Digdair village in Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj district on Sunday in a clash targeting to establish supremacy over a water body.
The victim has been identified as Junaid Miah (28), son of Sadat Ali from Digdair village of Tarail upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) in Tarail upazila Joynal Abedin said, receiving information, Police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body from the Sajla Beel.
Signs of multiple gunshot wounds were found in the victim’s body. The corpse has been sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital for autopsy.
Police have been patrolling the area since the incident.
The bloody clashes between the rival groups have been going on for a long time, in consequence whereof so far at least 9 people had been been killed in last 12 years.
