A man was killed by his brother over family feud in Madhupur Upazila in the district on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Akubbar Hossein, 46, hailed from Brahmanbari village of the Upazila.
Locals said Akubbar went to their bamboo garden to cut bamboo yesterday while one of his nephews opposed him. They exchanged hot words there. At a stage the boy called his father and other uncles. They came to the spot and hit him by sticks.
Akubbar Hossein was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A murder case has been filed with police station concerned in this connection.
