Man killed brutally in Daulatpur

A gang of confirmed criminals killed a local trader over previous enmity at Kazipara of Moubaria village under Daulatpur upazila in the district on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Kazi Enamul Haque, 50, son of late Kazi Shamser Ali, from Kazipara of the Khalishakundi union under the upazila.
The incident of murder took place at 8.30pm, and waves of grief and pain flooded the whole village.
On the other hand, the killing gang belongs to Purba Bangla Communist Party (ML Lal Pataka) of regional leader Amirul Islam.
Witnesses said, late Kazi Shamser Ali’s son Enamul Haque was conversing with local people in front of the
Kazipara Mosque. Just then criminal Amirul Islam and his gang reached there and begun to abuse Enamul.
As he protested it, Amirul and his accomplices started chopping Enamul with country-made weapons randomly. The deceased’s bowel came out.
This was not the end of the cruelty. One of the gang-members named Fazlur Rahman Fazu pushed his dragger into Enamul body to ensure the death.
Witnesses also identified Ashiqur Rahman, Pintu, Ruhul Amin, Abdul Mannan, Nazrul, Kalam, Mahbub, Nannu and Palan who also took part in Enamul killing.
But the armed gang left the spot safety as none dared intercept them.
On information, police recovered the body from the scene and sent to Kushtia General Health Complex for autopsy.
A case (no-36) has been filed in this connection with Daulatpur Police Station on Saturday evening.
None was arrested in this connection.
Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge Md Shah Darakhan said, “Police have been sent to the village to arrest the criminals.”
According to locals, the outlaw Amirul was accused in several cases, including murders, abduction and extortion.
He was the prime accused in the murders of Delemal, Rafique and Intaz Ali.
The murder incidents took place in the village in 1986, 2004 and 2008.
