A mobile court on Monday sentenced a man to 15 days’ jail for arranging the marriage of his underage daughter at Baghia village in Sadar upazila on Monday afternoon. The convict is Idris Mrida of the village.
On information that a class IX girl – Sharmin Akhter – was going to be married off at the village, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Ziaur Rahman went to her father’s residence in the afternoon.
