A stage decoration worker was injured in an accident right before the inauguration ceremony of the 3rd Bangladesh Premiere League (BPL) T20 on Friday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket stadium at Mirpur.
The injured man was fell from the ceiling of the stage as he was giving the final touches to the stage illumination just before start of the much-awaited opening ceremony. He was later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identity of the injured man could not be known immediately.
The inaugural ceremony, however, begun at 5.30 pm with a huge enthusiastic crowd attending it. The programme is being aired live by private television Channel 9.
