A young man who was shot and wounded by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday morning died at Rangpur medical College Hospital at night.
The deceased was identified as Abul Hashem, son of Abu Bakkar, a resident of Kalair Char village in Narayanpur union of Nageswari upazila.
Locals said that when a group of cattle traders went near international border pillar No 1039 in the morning, some BSF troops opened fire from the Soytalmari camp, leaving Hasem injured with bullet on his head.
