Man hurt in AL faction clash dies in hospital

A sexagenarian man who sustained injuries in a clash between two factions of Awami League over establishing supremacy at Taraujial village in Sripur upazila died at Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Surman Mollah,62.
Sripur thana officer-in-charge Syed Abdullah said local AL leaders Ali Azam Babla and Rafiqul Islam had been at loggerhead for long.
As a sequel to the enmity, supporters of both leaders locked into a clash on May 11, leaving 10 people,
including Surman, injured.
The injured were admitted to Magura sadar hospital. Later, Surman was shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries after five days. A murder case was filed with Sripur police station.
