Customs intelligence officials arrested a man along with smuggled goods worth Tk 50 lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Monday.
The arrestee was identified as Mirza Sadek, hailing from Raozan upazila of Chittagong.
Assistant commissioner (customs) Al Amin said Mirza arrived at the airport from Sharjah of United Arab Emirates (UAE) by flight G9-519 of ‘Air Arabia’ around 2:15am.
As per secret information, the customs official challenged him while he was crossing the green channel.
