Police arrested a man along with 476 cans of beer in a private car in the city’s Abdullahpur area on Friday afternoon. The arrestee was identified as Ramjan Ali Muktar. Further details about him could not be known.
Witnesses said, traffic police sergeant Nazmul Haider challenged the private car heading towards Tongi at Abdullahpur crossing at about 5pm.
Sensing danger, two suspected drug dealers ran away from the car.
