Detectives arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 12,000 Yaba tablets from Rampura area in the city on Sunday night.
A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, led by its Senior Assistant Commissioner Md Shah Nur Alam Patwari, conducted a drive in front of Singer showroom of East Rampura at around 10:55 pm and arrested Md Khaja Bhutto, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of
DMP Maruf Hossain Sarder. During preliminary interrogation, the arrestee revealed that he had long been selling the contraband sex-stimulating tablets in different areas of the city, Maruf said.
A case was filed with Rampura Police Station in connection with the incident.
