Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug trader along with 1.125 kg heroin from Char Islamabad of Sadar Upazila on Friday afternoon.
The arrestee was identified as Alamgir, 45, son of Belal Uddin of Sammahmudertola of the upazila.
Tipped-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive near New Bridge in the area around 1:15 pm and arrested Alamgir along with the contraband drug, said Squadron Leader Sayeed Abdullah Al Murad, Commander of RAB-5 Chapainawabganj camp.
