Detectives arrested a man in connection with the killing of a woman and her daughter in Dakshin Nalapara area of Sadarghat thana in the city on May 7.
The arrestee was identified as Belal. Tipped off, a team of DB police arrested Belal from the city early Wednesday, said Additional Deputy Commissioner Tanvir Arafat.
Earlier, a woman and her daughter were stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Dakshin Nalapara area of Sadarghat thana in the city.
The deceased were identified as Nasima Begum, 29, wife of Shah Alam and her daughter Riya Akhter, 10, a resident of the area.
