A man was arrested from Kotwali area of the capital on Thursday in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a young widow at Shubhadya in South Keraniganj upazila.
The arrestee was identified as Salam.
Officer-in-charge of South Keraniganj Police Station Manirul Islam said a team of police arrested Salam from Kotwali area of the capital at about 11:30 pm.
Earlier, the widow was gang-raped by one Salam and his three friends at Shubhadya on Wednesday night.
The victim filed a case against the four with South Keraniganj Police Station on Thursday morning.
