Police arrested a man on the charge of raping a 14 year-old girl in the capital’s Gulshan.
The accused was identified as Diplash, 40.
Abu Bakar Siddiq, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gulshan Police Station said that the girl is from Garo community and lives in her uncle’s residence in Gulshan.
Diplash used to live in the same residence.
On Thursday, Diplash raped the girl while her uncle and aunt were absent, as stated in the case statement. He was arrested on Friday night.
However, the victim was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical test, added the OC.
