Police arrested one person on charge of forging national identity card at Sher Shah Area in Chittagong city Friday night.
The arrested was identified as Shahidul Islam alias Shafiq (40), owner of a photo studio named Leon Studio located at Sher Shah area in the city.
Sources said tipped-off, a team of Bayezid Police Station raided the studio late night Friday and arrested the man.
The police team recovered two forged national identity cards, five birth registration certificates and a computer which was used in forgery from the studio. Babul Chandra Banik, officer-in-charge of Bayezid Police Station said Shahidul was involved with forgery of national identity card and different kinds of certificates.
