A man was hacked to death by his nephews at Shankarpur village in Barolekha upazila of Moulvibazar here following land dispute on Thursday morning.
The victim was identified as Alauddin, 60.
Police arrested the killer brothers Tajul Ali, 45 and Soaliman Ali, 35.
Abul Hashem, officer-in-charge of Barolekha thana, said Tajul and Sulaiman locked in an altercation with his maternal uncle Alauddin over a boundary wall in the morning.
At one stage, Tajul and Solaiman chopped his uncle with a local sharp weapon, leaving him dead on the spot.
