A man was hacked to death in a village of Sailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Asalat Hossain Saikh, 65, son of Minal Saikh of Mailmari village o f the upazila. Previous village was mainly liable for the killing incident, the police said.
Sailkupa police station officer in charge Tarikul Islam said, Asalat in the afternoon of the day went to his agriculture plot to procure grass. When he was returning home, a number of young men led by Saddam Hossain beaten up him. He was taken back to his resident, while succumbs to his injuries in the evening.
Police man said, village enmity was mainly liable for the incident. They sent the body to Jhenaidah general hospital morgue for post mortem examination. The police was preparing to file case in this connection. Leader of the killing incident Saddam managed to flee, OC said.
