An owner of grocery store was hacked to death by a gang of unidentified miscreants in the city’s Mohammadpur area on Sunday night.
The victim has been identified as Sohel Rana, 24, son of Abdul Mannan.
Police have detained one for questioning over the killing , but declined to disclose the identity for the sake of investigations, police said.

critically injured. The local people rushed him to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) while the on duty doctors declared him dead around 11:30pm, the police official said.
“We are trying to find the motive and those behind the killing,” the OC said. A case was filed in this connection, he said.
The body was handed over to the family members of the victim after post mortem, the police official said.
