A man was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants in the city’s Madartek area early Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Jahid Ali, 30, son of Abdul Wadud, police said.
Quoting the relatives of the deceased, Sabujbagh Police Station’s Duty Officer S M Mubarak said that a gang of unidentified miscreants hacked Jahid with the sharp sword near the Madartek Abdullah School and College around 12:05am. The locals recovered seriously injured Jahid and took him to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at 12:30am.
The body has been sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy, the police official said.
