Man gets life term in Kishoreganj

A Kishoreganj court on Wednesday afternoon convicted a man and sentenced him to life term imprisonment for killing his Son in law.
 The Senior District and Sessions Judge Md. Saidur Rahman announced the verdict. Apart from this, 10,000 taka fine was not paid and another six months imprisonment was imposed. Convicted Abu Bakkar, sentenced to life imprisonment in West Tarapasha of Kishoreganj town.
Acting Public Prosecutor (PP) in Kishoreganj Advocate Md. Abu Saeed Imam confirmed the matter.
According to Case Diary (CD), after the death of the father of the plaintiff Sharmin Akhtar, his mother got married to Abu Bakkar. Later he lived in a rented house next to Abu Bakr’s house. In this situation, in 2014, he developed a love relationship with Rupak Chandra Banik.
At one point Rupak proposes marriage to her and asks her to convert to Islam. According to Sharmin, Rupak accepted the Muslim religion. Later he was named Omar Farooq. After marriage, there were occasional quarrels in their family. Sharmin told his father about that. And that’s why Sharmin’s father was angry with her husband. Later, on the morning of 30 May 2019, her husband went to Abu Bakr’s house to look for her and had an argument with her
At one stage Abu Bakkar brought Da from the house and hacked him to death.
