Police have recovered a dead body from paddy field at Hosendi East Kumarpur area in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Badal Mia Hossaini (65) son of late Taher Uddin in Purbapara village of Pakundia upazila.
According to police and local sources, Badal Mia lived with his wife and children at his father-in-law’s house in Kamaliarchar area of Kishoreganj Sadar. Badal came to his house in Purbapara village on Monday night and get out of the house next morning. Later, locals found his body in a roadside paddy field in Hosendi East Kumarpur area in Pakundia. Upon receiving the news, the police went to the spot and recovered the body.
Officer-in-charge of Pakundia police Sarwar Jahan said Badal Mia had multiple marriages. One of the women is paralyzed. He was suffering from mental depression. Apart from that, some sleeping pills were found beside him while rescuing the body.
However, the exact cause of death was not known. The body was sent to Kishoreganj Sadar General Hospital for autopsy. The exact cause of death will be known after receiving the report.
