UNB, Natore :
Police recovered the body of a shopkeeper from Adgram village in Baraigram upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Alif Hossain, son of Faij Uddin of the village.
Saikat Hossain, officer-in-charge of Baraigram Police Station, said Alif went to his father-in-law’s house in neighboring Talso village to meet his wife but he did not return home.
Locals found the body in a paddy field in the morning and informed police, he said.
On information, police recovered the body. In primary investigation, it is assumed that Alif might be beaten to death by miscreants, said the OC.
Two JMB men held in Natore
Natore, May 22 (UNB) – Detectives in a drive arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Chandrapur in Gurudaspur upazila early Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Amir Hamja and Golam Hossain of the same village.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch of police conducted a drive around 1:30 am and arrested them from a banana orchard. Police also recovered a laptop, ATM cards, Jihadi books, leaflets and some religious books from their possession.
