The Abhaynagar station police on Saturday night recovered the body of a youth from a canal that has links with Bhairab River from Amdanga village under Abhaynagar upazilaof Jashore district.
Moazzem Hossain, Officer In-Charge, Abhaynagar Police Station said that the body was recovered in floating state in the evening. But the identity could not be known.
The youth was kept in the canal after killing, the OC added.
Post mortem of the body was made at Jashore General Hospital on Sunday morning.
