Man dies while trying to stop a family quarrel in Kamalganj

A tea worker named Ratiram Naik (40) of a neighboring house died while trying to stop a family quarrel between two brothers in the double chhara tea garden of Shamshernagar union of Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar. This incident happened on Wednesday at 11:30 pm. Police have arrested two accused brothers for this incident.
According to police, Dorgana Alamik and his brother Sushil Alamik of Doblchhara tea garden in Shamshernagar Union of Kamalganj upazila had a fight over a family dispute, reports The New Nation. In order to stop their quarrel, Ratiram Naik died on the spot when he was hit on the head and face of Ratiram Naik of the neighboring house with a stick in the hand of Durgana. At night after getting the news Shamsernagar Police Outpost sub-inspector Abdur Rahman Gazi recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, the police arrested the accused Sushil Alamik from the spot. On Thursday morning, Darrgana Alamik was arrested from the remote area of Doblchhara along with slaves and brought to the police station. Ratiram Naik’s brother in this incident.
Raju Naik has filed a murder case in Kamalganj police station as the plaintiff.
The investigating officer of the case, SI Abdur Rahman of Shamshernagar police outpost, confirmed the fact of the murder and said that the body was recovered and sent to Moulvibazar Sadar on Thursday morning for post-mortem examination.
The brother of the deceased filed a case in the police station as the plaintiff. The two accused brothers have been arrested along with slaves.
