A man was killed and another injured during a fire in a restaurant in Karnaphuli area of Chittagong city early on Thursday.
The deceased Abu Jaker, 20, of Boalkhali was a resident of Bridgeghat area.
Victim’s brother said Jaker was sleeping inside the tin-roofed restaurant on Wednesday night with a staff, his friend, when the fire started due to the electric short circuit around 1:00am and engulfed the room.
Jaker died on the spot as he could not manage to come out.
