An unidentified man died in a road accident in Shakpura village under Boalkhali upazila of the district in the early hours of yesterday. Police said the man about 50-year-old received serious injuries when a pickup van collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Choumuhoni area of Shakpura around 3.30am.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared him dead, said Nayek Mohammad Hamid of CMCH police outpost.
